Water treatment plant "Krinitsa"

Krinitsa Water Treatment Plant_1.pngKrinitsa modular water treatment plants are designed to treat raw surface water to drinking water quality in accordance with applicable standards. The plants are designed for new construction, upgrades, and expansion of water supply facilities serving small communities and remote locations – including residential developments, construction camps, hotels, tourist facilities, and rural areas.

Krinitsa plants can be used in new water supply systems or for upgrading existing systems to meet drinking water quality requirements.

Krinitsa plants can be easily integrated into existing water supply configurations, including systems with:

  • treated water storage tanks;

  • elevated water towers.

If required, the plants can be supplied with treated water storage tanks – above-ground or underground – as well as elevated water towers with capacities from 5 to 160 m³.

Krinitsa modular plants can also be used as part of localized water treatment facilities at industrial sites located outside centralized water supply networks, where extending water mains is not economically viable.

Krinitsa plants are designed for reliable operation at ambient temperatures from –30 °C to +40 °C.

The plants are available in two configurations:

  • manual control;

  • automatic control for unattended operation.

Krinitsa water treatment plants consist of four main sections:

  • Section 1  Disinfection Unit

 Includes flow-through direct electrolysis units CHLOREFS UGPE for on-site sodium hypochlorite generation used for primary and secondary disinfection of raw water.

  • Section 2  Filtration Unit

 Includes a screen filter, clarification filter, and adsorption filter.

  • Section 3  Regeneration Unit

 Includes a backwash pump and hydrochloric acid solution tanks.

  • Section 4  Reagent and Wash Water Handling Unit

 Includes coagulant solution tanks and wash water collection tanks.

Each Krinitsa plant incorporates the following components:

  • Electrolysis units for sodium hypochlorite generation;

  • Power supply units for electrolyzers;

  • Control cabinets for electrolyzers and auxiliary equipment;

  • Acid cleaning unit for the electrolyzer electrode system;

  • Screen filters for removal of suspended solids larger than 200 µm;

  • Clarification filters with quartz sand filter media;

  • Coagulant solution tanks;

  • Adsorption filters loaded with coconut-shell-based granular activated carbon;

  • Wash water collection tanks;

  • Water and power metering systems;

  • Automated process control system (SCADA).

Krinitsa water treatment plants comply with the Technical Regulations on the Safety of Machinery and Equipment.
