Anode plates: MMO-coated anodes
The company ECOFES LLC manufactures titanium electrodes with an electrocatalytic coating, which are the main components of the Chlorefs electrolysis units.
The electrocatalytic anodic coating is a mixed coating of platinum group metal oxides, applied in layers on the titanium electrode base. Scientific research conducted at ECOFES has shown that a three-component anode coating containing iridium, known as OIRT (oxide-iridium ruthenium-titanium anodes), provides the longest service life. Depending on the mass percentage of iridium to ruthenium, the corrosion resistance and service life of the anodes can be increased up to 8 times, while simultaneously reducing energy costs due to lower voltage on the electrolyzer.
All anodes produced by the company undergo accelerated testing.
